What is Waterford Institute?

Waterford Institute is a nonprofit research organization with a mission to provide equity and excellence in education through the effective use of technology. Founded in 1976, Waterford Institute uses rigorous research to build award-winning, proven educational programs like Waterford Early Reading Program™ and Waterford Early Math and Science™. Waterford programs have improved education for millions of children around the world.

In order to reach more children, Waterford Institute has been working for more than 10 years with Pearson — the largest education publisher in the world. This unique relationship allows the nonprofit Waterford Institute to focus on research and development while the for-profit Pearson markets and sells Waterford's proven educational products to schools.

With a goal to improve education, Waterford Institute also independently distributes products around the world.
